Langley, BC (March 10, 2015) – A truck on the road is only as tough as its tires, which is why Yokohama Tire (Canada) Inc. is launching its new GEOLANDAR H/T G056 — a tire specifically engineered for years of everyday use by today’s light-trucks.
Using the advanced all-season compound technology with the innovative Orange Oil and micro silica blend to deliver superb wet grip and traction, the GEOLANDAR H/T G056 is engineered to stay on the road thousands of kilometers longer while delivering outstanding all-season traction.
The Orange Oil infuses the rubber tire tread compound (natural and synthetic) with the oil extracted from orange peels to improve the tires performance and longevity, while reducing the amount of petroleum used in the manufacturing process.
Yokohama’s Orange Oil technology is tried and tested on road racing tires in motorsports series around the world, and now features prominently in the company’s mainstream tire applications.
The Yokohama GEOLANDAR H/T G056 features Multi-Angle and Zig Zag Circumferential Grooves that provide a powerful edge effect, improving handling on snowy roads and channeling water out from under the tread.
Adaptive Shoulder Blocks form a continuous outer rib to help reduce tread noise and promote even wear, working in tandem with Triple 3D sipes to stabilize tread blocks in order to minimize uneven wear and provide more biting edges that last throughout the life of the tread.
Noise reduction is entrusted to a tread design that varies block sizes and shapes to fade out the pattern noise inherent to tread blocks of equal size.
The Yokohama GEOLANDAR H/T G056 is available in 38 sizes and six rim diameters to suit just about any application on any light truck.
And for a limited time (March 15 through May 31), purchasers of the GEOLANDAR H/T G056 receive an introductory $80 rebate off a set of four as part of Yokohama’s Season Opener Event.
